SHB is a chapter of the National Association of the Bench and Bar Spouses (NABBS), which is an arm of the National Bar Association. On July 22, 2015, at NABBS 64th National Convention, in conjunction with the National Bar Association’s 90th National Convention in Los Angela, California, Ja’nice T. Sparks was sworn in as the 35th President of NABBS, Inc. She is the second member of SHB’s Houston Chapter since 1972 to serve as President of our national organization. Ja’nice has been an active member of SHB since 1990, serving in various positions and recently served as national treasurer for NABBS, Inc. for the past six years.
