Welcome to the Spouses of Houston Barristers!
The Spouses of Houston Barristers is committed to providing scholarships to deserving law students who attend Houston area law schools. We were chartered in 1957 by a small group of women with big dreams for a more diverse and inclusive legal community. Now, more than 65 years later, we are still holding the torch and being a beacon of light for deserving law students and the Houston area community. the making as we emerge from a global pandemic committed and strong.
We are proud to be the largest chapter of the National Association of Bench and Bar Spouses, Incorporated and appreciate their support of this year’s Ball. For over half a century, SHB has been an organization of civic-minded women, dedicated to supporting the Houston area legal community, and promoting a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. We serve our local Houston community through volunteerism and donating our time, talent, and treasures to worthy organizations in need.
Our signature fundraiser, known as the “Barrister’s Ball” is November 12, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency- Galleria. Our theme, “A Night With the Stars” promises to be a
festive evening as we celebrate our commitment to legal excellence and honor local
legal living legends.
We thank our most loyal supporters who continue to give as well as our new supporters
for helping us make a difference in the lives of the next generation of lawyers. Your
support is critical to our success this year.
Lastly, we thank the Barristers who take this journey with us every biennial. Our success
